Small outdoor appliances e.g weed burners and BBQ
One of the smallest sizes and most mobile types of propane bottles
Propane is much more versatile than butane and should never be stored inside. The liquid in the bottles will continue to boil off into its gaseous state even in cold temperatures.
4.5kg butane
(21.8mm left hand male screw on connection)
Small campers and day vans will often use these as their gas supply for anything from hot water to small stoves. Butane has the distinction of not working as well in cold settings as the liquid in the bottles will not convert to gas at low temperatures.
5kg Patio propane
(27mm clip on connection)
Small and manageable for outdoor appliances from BBQ to patio heaters and gas fire pits these bottles are designed around end users with ease of use being the goal the 27mm connection clips on and off without any tools.
6kg propane
(left hand threaded connection)
Most commonly used in campervans and caravans as the main gas supply for heating to cooking. There small compact size makes them excellent for on the go.
7kg butane
(21mm clip on regulator)
These are the most easily manageable sizes that are used mainly for indoor appliances such as small cabinet heaters. Some campers may have them as hot water and even a heating supply but propane does not work well in cold temperatures.
13kg propane

Very popular size for mobile work crews.
13kg patio propane

Used for outdoor appliances from BBQ to patio heaters these bottles are designed for consumer ease of use as no spanner is needed to disconnect and replace the bottle.
15kg butane
(21mm clip on regulator)
Most commonly used for indoor gas cabinet heaters. Easily connected and disconnected via a 21mm clip on regulator.
19kg propane
(left hand threaded connection)
Mainly used on houses and static caravans or permanent installations the 19kg is designed to minimise impact and visibility of the installed location, great for houses where only a gas hob is supplied.
47kg propane
(left hand thread connection)
These are most commonly found on houses and some static caravans where easy access is available there size and weight make them difficult to maneuver. These are the recommended size for any heating application.
Auto changeover regulator
These regulators can be equipped with up to 4 bottles each side of the regulator the dial points to one side or the other displaying a red sign when the side it’s pointing at is empty. It provides an uninterrupted supply by automatically switching supply to the gas bottle(s) on the other side. These regulators are fitted with (opso) over pressure shut off for added safety
When you see the red indicator give your gas supplier a call and arrange a new delivery
Campingaz 907 (butane and propane gas mixture)
Unlike calor gas bottles you actually purchase and own the empty bottle but can still exchange for a full one
Specially designed for camping and other mobile pursuits
Campingaz is available europe wide so if you travel in your motorhome this is the gas for you
Campingaz 904 (butane propane mix)
Just as above but in a smaller bottle also available europe wide.
Stand alone regulators (bottle mounted)
These can be for propane butane campingaz and patio regulators
These are designed for small appliances like BBQ and simply require the correct orange LPG hose from the outlet on the regulator to the inlet on the appliance. All appliances must use a regulator as pressure direct from a bottle will be to high
Pigtails and hoses
Pigtails are prefabricated pressure tested hoses that connect the gas bottle to the regulator. These hoses are consumables and should be replaced when the date on the hose expires
